To teach the student to analyze the word structure by dividing the medical terms to their basic components and to predict the meaning of unfamiliar medical term and improve his spelling and pronunciation skills.
This course is an introductory base for system based terminology. It explains fundamentals of medical terms through an analysis of their construction including prefix, suffix, root, connecting and combining forms. The student acquires an understanding of medical meanings applicable to the structure, function, and diseases of the human body. Abbreviations and their appropriate usage are represented
