Flexible Credit Hour System

University Study System

The University has adopted the Credit Hour System as its primary mode of study. This system is now widely implemented by international universities, the majority of universities within the region, and a growing number of local institutions. This adoption was informed by several factors, notably including engagement and benchmarking with local, regional, and international universities, as well as the inherent attributes of the credit hour system itself.

The Credit Hour System is generally structured around a curriculum comprised of individual courses, each assigned a specific number of credit hours. A credit hour is typically defined as the equivalent of one academic lecture hour or two practical laboratory hours delivered per week over the duration of a single semester.

To earn a degree in a specific field of specialization, students are required to complete a designated number of credit hours, as outlined in the program’s study plan.
