Description
This course covers an introduction to the fundamentals of architectural design through the design process, definition, analysis, concepts, development, presentation and building form in relation to human activity, scale and furniture as means of creating space and space analysis. The course also considers the basic principles and skills that constitute the discipline of architecture and developing critical, analytical and speculative design abilities. It also includes lectures to teatch students the concepts of building design and how to creatively organize materials and components into livable structures related to site characteristics and environmental elements. In addition, it utilizes hands-on projects to allow students to transfer representational information to mapping form. Training includes simple projects focusing on abstract forms, architectural forms, architectural compositions, functional relations and the appropriate use of indoor and outdoor space.
